As a Doula, I Do Not:

Perform any clinical tasks
This includes taking blood pressure, vaginal exams, finding a fetal heart rate. I am here to provide comfort and support.
Make decisions for you
I cannot make decisions for you on your behalf, or if you are uncomfortable making a decision. I will only provide you knowledge and research.
Speak to the staff on your behalf
I will discuss concerns with you and suggest options, as well as encourage you to voice your opinions.
Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience
I will provide constant support in all your decisions as this is your pregnancy & birth
Act as the doctor or midwives.
I will not deliver the baby.
